Administrative Assistant to the VP of Strategic Alliances
Franklin University has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to the VP of Strategic Alliances. This individual will provide high level administrative assistance by assisting the Vice President with strategic initiatives, planning and orchestration. Reporting to the Vice President, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and staff support to the Vice President and the department. The position provides all necessary organizational support and is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including working effectively in a multi-tasked team environment. Specific duties include coordinating the Vice President's schedule, creating presentations and Board reports, following-up on leads to secure appointments for the Vice President, accessing and assimilating information, coordinating contracts and purchase order requests, and monitoring the budget for the division and the Vice President's email. This role may require extra hours and flexibility to complete required tasks.
We seek someone with 3-5 years of previous experience as an Administrative Assistant to serve in this key role. A Bachelor's degree is required and 2-3 years of prior experience as an executive assistant is strongly preferred. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is required and the selected individual must have an aptitude for technology to learn additional programs. The position requires someone who is proactive, extremely detail-oriented, dependable, and possesses excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills who will maintain the confidentiality of the office data. The position also requires someone who can work with minimal supervision.
