Franklin University has a full-time position available as an Assistant Director, Testing & Operations.  Reporting to the Director of the Learning Commons, this position is responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to all testing and operational aspects of the Learning Commons Testing Center. This position supervises and manages all day-to-day operations of the departmental testing function and supervises the associated staff. The Assistant Director coordinates all university placement testing. Additionally, the Assistant Director works collaboratively with the Learning Commons Director and Assistant Director of Academic Support to develop, coordinate, and implement the strategic directions for the department, to ensure the highest quality academic support programs for all Franklin University students.   

This position may require working at least one night per week until 6:00 p.m. and approximately one Saturday per trimester. This position may work up to 15 hours a week in the testing office as proctor in the event shifts need to be covered. Ultimately, the Assistant Director of Testing & Operations is responsible for any coverage gaps. 

This is a hybrid position with Mondays and Tuesdays being worked from home.
 
We seek someone with a bachelor's degree with demonstrated ability to identify, define and evaluate problems and create appropriate long term and immediate strategies and solutions.  The position also requires someone with strong organizational skills who can work in a fast-paced environment as both part of a team as well as independently.  The selected individual must have capability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and well-organized testing center.  Finally, we seek someone with excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills who has successfully demonstrated the ability to collaborate and build strong effective working relationships across departments/offices.

The ideal candidate will possess either professional experience in a higher education testing center or working with university placement testing.
