Franklin University is seeking an energetic and experienced academic leader to chair its Accounting Program.  The Chair for the B.S. Accounting promotes and supports the vision and mission of Franklin University and Ross College of Business. Primary responsibilities include course development, teaching, and oversight of academic quality within the Accounting Program.  The Chair will provide guidance and support for Program faculty and related staff and act as a key advisor to the Department Chair. The Program Chair will have responsibility for program oversight/direction, curriculum oversight, assessment, program promotion in the community, and collaboratively work within a fast-paced changing environment, among other duties.


The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in accounting or a closely related field; have professional certification(s) in the field such as a CPA, have demonstrated 8+ year’s professional industry experience that includes management decision making, and experience teaching working-adult students.   Additionally, experience in an accounting or related program, supervising adjunct faculty and developing courses and program curriculum is preferred.
