Franklin University has an opening for a part-time Event and Meeting Services Assistant.  This position supports the Event and Meeting Services department by managing meeting functions, assisting with the planning and execution of university-wide events and administering bi-weekly breakfast for faculty and staff.

This position is scheduled for 24 hours per week.  Hours range from 7 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday.  Availability on Tuesday and Thursday morning beginning at 7 am will be required.  The position will entail occasional weekend and evening hours as needed to assist with special events.

A high school diploma or GED is required.  Prior experience in catering or event planning is preferred.  The ideal candidate will be a team player with exceptional customer service.  He/she must be able to interact with employees of all levels throughout campus. The selected individual must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to muli-task.  Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.  Candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.  In addition, the position requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
