Graduate Assistant - The International Institute for Innovative Instruction
Franklin University is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the International Institute for Innovative Instruction. The Graduate Assistant will complement their formal studies by assisting with the Title III grant responsibilities. The “Increasing Student Success Start-to-Finish” project is a five year federal grant designed to increase undergraduate retention and graduation.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supports pre- and post- course redesign research by assisting instructional design faculty with research activities; conducting literature reviews; interviewing subject matter experts, instructional designers and students; building and administering surveys; gathering, tracking, and analyzing data; maintaining project records; and other duties as assigned.
Applicants must be full-time masters- or doctoral-level students at Franklin University, maintain a 3.0 GPA and remain in good academic standing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, or similar field, 2-4 years of professional experience in higher education, and experience working in an interdisciplinary environment. Knowledge of statistical software is preferred.
Graduate assistants must work 19 hours per week from the downtown campus from the beginning to the end of the official term dates to be eligible for 50% tuition waiver during that semester. The assistantship will be renewable for up to the length of the program with satisfactory performance evaluations.
