Lead Faculty, Doctor of Nursing Practice Program
Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, 12-month, Faculty member for its Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. The DNP Lead Faculty role includes primary responsibility for teaching, instructional coaching and support of adjunct faculty for face-to-face and on-line courses, facilitation of the DNP Practicum, service on university committees, scholarship, networking/participation in the professional community, and promoting teaching effectiveness, sector and university requirements as needed. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers, practitioners in the field, our in-house multimedia group and peers to create adult-centered active-learning courses.
This position requires candidates to possess an earned doctorate in field appropriate to the teaching discipline, from a regionally accredited college of university and a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license, maintained throughout employment. In addition, the candidate must possess at least four years of practical experience in a wide variety of areas within the discipline and have at least two years of prior teaching experience, online teaching and use of simulation applications is desired. Prior experience as a full-time faculty in a DNP with involvement in DNP projects is preferred.
