Lead Faculty - Risk Management Insurance and Economics
Franklin University is currently seeking applicants for a full-time, 12 month faculty position. The Lead Faculty member will oversee courses in Risk Management Insurance and Economics and will report directly to the Department Chair of Accounting, Finance and Economics. The role includes primary responsibility for developing courses, teaching, supervising and coordinating adjunct faculty for face-to-face and online courses, assessment, program promotion in the community, program oversight/direction, and collaboratively working within a fast-paced changing environment, university service and other projects.
The faculty position requires the candidate hold or is nearing completion of a doctoral degree in Risk Management and Insurance or business related field from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants are required to have three years of teaching experience at a college/university. Ideal applicants will also have a minimum of `0 years of practical experience in a wide-variety of area within the insurance industry. Relevant professional certification is required (i.e.: CPCU). Applicants must be able to communicate and work effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, members of the professional community, and with technology. Successful candidates will be organized, have effective multi-tasking skills, and be able to work in a rapid-change environment.
