Print Operations and Purchasing Specialist
Franklin University has an opening for a Print Operations and Purchasing Specialist. Under general direction, this individual will perform digital print operations and provide purchasing and procurement support.
Responsibilities will include operation of digital printing equipment and various print finishing equipment such as creaser/folders, UV coaters, slitter/cutter/creaser/perforation equipment, booklet markers, etc. as well as wide-format print equipment in the production of signs, banners, and posters and various raster image processor software products such as Onyx, Roland VersaWorks, Wasatch, and IQueue. The selected individual will order and maintain inventory of paper for print operations and assist in the maintenance of the web-to-print portal for Print Services. He/she will enter and process orders into the Datatel system for related goods and services and provide follow-up on purchases, confirmation of deliveries, damages of goods and changes in orders. The Print Operations and Purchasing Specialist will become knowledgeable of University purchasing policies and procedures and will be required to operate University-owned vehicles for pick-up and delivery.
We seek someone with a minimum of a high school diploma with strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong math and organizational skills. The selected individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and be detail and customer service oriented. He/she must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report. A four year degree, two years of experience in digital print operations and basic knowledge of purchasing and procurement procedures are all preferred but not required.
