Program Chair, BS and MS Human Resource Management

Franklin University invites applications for a full-time, year-round, Program Chair for its B.S. Human Resources Management and M.S. Human Resource Management Programs. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio.  Preference will be given to candidates who will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite when needed. 

The Program Chair promotes and supports the vision and mission of Franklin University and the Ross College of Business. The Program Chair will lead the development of curriculum related to the programs ensuring that students gain relevant and practical in-demand skills and will have oversight for new courses in the programs. Primary responsibilities include oversight of academic quality within the Programs, guidance and support for Program faculty and related staff and acting as a key advisor to the Dean. The Program Chair reports directly to the Dean of the Ross College of Business and will have responsibility for program oversight/direction, curriculum development & oversight, assessment, program promotion in the community, and collaboratively working within a fast-paced changing environment, among other duties.  

The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate degree in Human Resources or related discipline from an institutional (formerly regional) accredited; have demonstrated 5 years of practical experience in the human resources field, and experience teaching at the university level. Additionally, an active SHRM membership, experience supervising adjunct faculty and developing courses and program curriculum is preferred.
