Program Chair, Doctor of Healthcare Administration
Franklin University invites applicants for a full-time, year-round position of Program Chair, Doctor of Healthcare Administration This individual will oversee the Doctor of Healthcare Administration Program. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite as needed.
The faculty position will work closely with the Dean, Program Chairs for the other doctorates we offer, and the members of the Office of Research, Scholarship and Writing in an environment focused on teaching working adults.
Responsibilities will include program oversight/direction, course development, academic quality, assessment activities, oversight of teaching, providing leadership to adjunct faculty, mentoring doctoral learners and dissertation committee management, service on university committees, leadership in the professional community, as well as programmatic, divisional, and university requirements as needed.
The position requires a Doctorate in a Healthcare related discipline such as healthcare administration, public health, health informatics, health sciences or a closely related field of study. Prior program management at the graduate or doctoral academic level is required. Faculty must work effectively with students, staff, and other faculty, both adjunct and fulltime.
