Program Chair, Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership
As a private, non-profit institution, Franklin University invites applicant for an on-site, full-time, year-round position of Program Chair, Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, beginning immediately. Franklin University is a private, independent, regionally accredited, not-for-profit university located in Columbus, Ohio. The EdD degree holds focus areas in PK-12 Education and Higher Education. We seek candidates who possess expertise in one of the two track areas, are actively engaged in either the PK-12 or higher education communities, and who have a demonstrated commitment to innovation in education.
The faculty position will work closely with the Dean, Program Chairs for the other doctorates we offer, and the members of the Office of Research, Scholarship and Writing in an environment focused on teaching working adults.
Responsibilities will include program oversight/direction, course development, academic quality, assessment activities, oversight of teaching, providing leadership to adjunct faculty, mentoring doctoral learners and dissertation committee management, service on university committees, leadership in the professional community, as well as programmatic, divisional, and university requirements as needed.
The position requires an earned Doctorate in an Education field (EdD, PhD or similar) or a closely related field of study from an accredited university. Candidates with scholarship and/or expertise in K-12 leadership or higher education leadership will be given preference.
Experience with program design, curriculum development, and dissertation committee service in an online environment are required. Faculty must work effectively with students, staff, and other faculty, both adjunct and fulltime.
