Program Chair, Doctorate of Healthcare Administration

As a private, non-profit institution, Franklin University invites applicant for an on-site, full-time, year-round position of Program Chair, Doctorate of Healthcare Administration, beginning immediately.  The faculty position will work closely with the Dean in an environment focused on teaching working adults.

Responsibilities will include program oversight/direction, course development, academic quality, assessment activities, oversight of teaching, providing leadership to adjunct faculty, mentoring doctoral learners and dissertation committee management, service on university committees, leadership in the professional community, as well as programmatic, divisional, and university requirements as needed.

The position requires a Doctorate in a Healthcare related discipline such as healthcare administration, public health, health informatics, health sciences or a closely related field of study.  Candidates who are ABD may also be considered. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in the healthcare industry.  Experience with design, curriculum development, and dissertation committee service in an online environment are required.  The successful candidate will have published research in the healthcare, health informatics, or other closely related field.  Preference will be given to candidates that have prior academic and program administration experience.
