Franklin University has a full-time position available as a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator. This individual will handle all aspects of the University Accounts Payable function.
Duties include maintaining computerized and manual accounts payable records for vendors and employees; reviewing all invoices for proper billing and matching them with authorized purchase order; entering all invoices into the mainframe computer system; processing bi-monthly check runs for all vendors for payments made via ACH or check; assuring invoices are paid properly and in a timely manner; maintaining positive relationships with vendors and employees; responding to questions and requests, as appropriate; preparing reports and documents as requested by outside auditors; preparing and distributing annual 1099 tax forms used to report miscellaneous income to independent contractors paid by the University; serving as the program administrator for the credit card program through Chase; and involvement in projects to move the University towards a more paperless environment while still maintaining the integrity of all payments submitted to vendors.
Additional hours beyond normal business hours may be required during peak periods.
We seek someone with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with an Associate’s degree in business or a related field being preferred. The selected individual must have two to four years of previous experience in accounts payable or other general office experience, be detail-oriented and deadline driven with proficiency in Microsoft Office and 10-key calculator. Knowledge of Colleague software would be a plus in this position.
