Systems Engineer

Franklin University is hiring a Systems Engineer for our Microsoft practice.  This team handles design, implementation, operational security, and support of our Microsoft services and infrastructure including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, federated authentication, servers, applications, and desktops.  We have a hybrid environment spanning Azure, AD, and 365, Linux-based applications and services, and our student information-based systems and applications. This position mixes traditional Windows administration work with code and automation-based approaches to build and manage a variety of solutions across our environment.

This position will be the primary implementation and maintenance resource for our growing code and automation practice and requires PowerShell and .NET experience in addition to traditional Microsoft and 365 administration experience.  The position participates in solution design as well hands-on operational support and shares in rotating On-Call responsibilities.

The successful candidate is seeking an opportunity to solve complex and novel problems, improve and enhance existing processes as part of a collaborative, high-performing team in an organization with an educational mission.  A Bachelor's degree in a related area with a minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft technology management in an enterprise environment and including scripting/coding work is expected.  Relevant administration and coding certifications are a strong plus.  Preference will be given to candidates who will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely.
