Franklin University is seeking a Welcome Center federal Work Study Assistant. This position will be responsible for general administrative duties in support of the Institution, including support and services to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. The position also closely collaborates with other departments, including Student Financial Services, Accounting and Registrar. Welcome Center hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 10:00-7:00 pm, and Friday 8:00-5:00 pm.
The Welcome Center provides a student’s first impression of Franklin University and demands a strong acumen with exemplar customer service. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a passion for customer service, self-sufficiency and a strong comfort with technology. The Welcome Center is a central communication location of the Institution requiring the ideal candidate to hold an excitement to collaborate with other team members on a regular basis.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to working in a team environment to assist current & potential students, faculty, and staff; Assist in conducting research to support various projects; Executing phone outreach to support various teams initiatives; Print transcripts and manage documents for the Registrar’s office; Effectively utilize the University’s technology tools, including CRM (Constituent Relationship Management System), Colleague (Student Information System) and various Microsoft tools; provide support toward various events throughout the university; Assist students with technology issues such as password resets and navigating Franklin resources, and Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements include: High level of customer service; Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; Dependable with strong attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task in an ever changing environment.
Applicants must be current Franklin University students with Federal Work Study eligibility. The ideal candidate must be able to work 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Thursday from 10:00-7:00 pm, and Friday 8:00-5:00 pm.
Due to the level of training involved, we would like the candidate to be able to work at least a year in the position.
