Dr. Eric Hutchison’s background includes more than 25 years of professional experience and 15 years of teaching undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. While building a professional career in the financial industry, he led teams responsible for national branding, product development, strategy and distribution, and mergers and acquisitions. Dr. Hutchison started consulting in 2015 and currently works with individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and the public sector.
Dr. Hutchison holds a BBA in Marketing from Kent State University, an MBA from Otterbein University, and an MS and a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Walden University. As a part-time faculty member at four universities, he teaches, designs courses, and advises students on research.
Dr. Hutchison is an active member in several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologists (SIOP), the Society of Consulting Psychologists (SCP), the Society for Criminal and Police Psychologists (SPCP), and an officer of the Great Lakes Chapter of the International Personnel Assessment Council (IPAC). He has presented research on community participation in police officer selection at two international conferences (SPCP ’19 and SIOP ’20). He is currently partnering with other researchers to conduct a study on the impact of community evaluator program involvement on participant perceptions (community evaluators, police and fire personnel, and Civil Service Commission employees).
