Profile

Prior to her appointment at Franklin University, Dr. Storey served as an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at the University of Central Florida receiving Professor Emerita status for her research, teaching and service. Previously, Dr. Storey served as a Professor of Educational Leadership at Lynn University, where she was the EdD. PhD., and MEd. Educational Leadership Director. In the higher education setting, she has successfully taught courses in a variety of formats (including face-to-face, online, & hybrid) within PhD., EdD., EdS., MA., MEd., and BS. programs. Additionally, Dr. Storey has helped numerous Doctoral and Master's students complete the dissertation and thesis/project process, having chaired and served on dissertation/thesis/project committees in both the US and UK. In addition to her experience in higher education, Dr. Storey has decades of successful experience in the K-12 educational setting, where she served as a coach, teacher, and school administrator. During this tenure, she was chosen by the Department for Education to work with schools in challenging circumstances. Dr. Storey is the author of more than 50 publications in the areas of leadership, principal preparation, professional doctoral program design, and  Dissertation in Practice design. Recent works include the edited books School Diversification in England and the United States of America: Implications for School Leader Preparation Programs; International Perspectives on Designing Professional Practice Doctorates; and Contemporary Approaches to Dissertation Development and Research Methods.
