Description:

Join us for Lunch and a Presentation by Dr. Loren W. Wagner, Senior Executive: Risk & Business Development, CentraComm.

Can your business survive a cyber attack?

Can your business afford to lose $90,000? $500,000? $1,000,000, or more? What is your risk threshold? Small and medium businesses are increasingly in the spot light when considering their vulnerability to cyber-attacks. On average, the financial impact on any individual business is potentially significant and the operational impact can be devasting (Verizon DBIR, 2018). When considering SMBs in aggregate, the potential national impact is staggering.

This presentation discusses cyber security issues relative to the small and medium business environment. Key regulatory requirements will be discussed impacting suppliers in various industries. Safe harbor aspects of Ohio Senate Bill 220 will be explored as well. Pros and cons for implementing cyber security practices are discussed along with suggestions for approaching a “reasonable” accommodation for small business mitigating controls, helping make your cyber security stronger and your business operations more resilient. Cyber survival is the goal.
