Franklin University and Marion Technical College Announce New Co-Location Agreement

Columbus, OH (August 4, 2016)

Franklin University and Marion Technical College (Marion Tech) have signed an agreement to offer Franklin University’s 3+1 Business Administration and Management & Leadership completion programs onsite at Marion Tech.

Through the new agreement, the two institutions have created a pathway for students to complete their bachelor degrees by transferring their Marion Technical College associate’s degree to Franklin. Students can take Franklin classes in a face-to-face format onsite at Marion Tech’s campus in Franklin’s 3+1 Business Administration and Management & Leadership completion programs.

“The signing of our co-location partnership with Marion Technical College allows students in Marion and surrounding areas to benefit from an expanded physical and financial access to education,” said Bill Chan, Executive Director of Domestic Expansion and Regional Campuses. “Today’s announcement not only adds to the strong partnership between our two institutions, but continues efforts to provide students with a cost-effective and access-oriented option to complete a degree.”

Through this new co-location agreement, students benefit from Franklin’s acceptance of previously earned college and professional education credits, minimizing the time and money it takes to earn a degree. This transfer-friendly policy, coupled with the University’s convenient class schedules and regionally accredited curriculum allow today’s adult students to achieve their education and career goals in balance with their personal, career, and financial responsibilities, all while staying within their own community.

Franklin University recently signed a similar agreement with Stark State College in Canton, furthering the goals of Ohio Governor John Kasich and the Ohio Department of Higher Education to lower the cost of higher education and provide greater access to students of all ages through 3+1 partnerships between Ohio’s community colleges and universities.

For information on how students can maximize their Marion Tech credits, cut the total cost of their bachelor’s degree in half and give their education credibility by choosing Franklin - a private, nonprofit and regionally accredited institution.
