In honor of World Water Day the Franklin University College of Health and Public Administration will partner with the Central Ohio American Society of Public Administration (COASPA) and the Ohio Environmental Council will host a community dialogue on Tuesday, March 22 about Ohio’s lakes, rivers, streams and drinking water.
The lunchtime event will feature a panel of experts who will share insights and answer questions about how to enhance and protect our most vital resource.
Attendees will learn more about and have questions answered about toxic algae, fracking, drinking water safety, and other water-related issues.
The expert panel will include:
Sandra Eberts, Hydrologist & USGS Representative to the Source Water Collaborative, U.S. Geological Survey
Karl Gebhardt, Deputy Director of Water Resources & Lake Erie Programs, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
Melanie Houston, Director of Water Policy & Environmental Health AND
Adam Rissien, Director of Agricultural & Water Policy, Ohio Environmental Council
Luke Morris, Franklin University Green Team – who will moderate the event
Attendees are invited to bring their lunch and COASPA will provide the beverages. There will also be time for professional networking.
