Franklin University and City of Columbus Department of Public Safety Announce Education Partnership

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce its new educational partnership with the City of Columbus Department of Public Safety. Through this partnership, the University continues its mission to provide high quality, relevant education to the broadest possible community of learners to achieve their goals and enrich society.

Through today’s announcement, employees of the City of Columbus Department of Public Safety now have the opportunity to save on the overall cost of a degree or certificate with a book benefit and a tuition discount from the following undergraduate majors or graduate programs in Franklin University’s College of Health & Public Administration:

Criminal Justice Administration
Emergency Management & Homeland Security
Public Administration (undergraduate)
Public Administration (master’s)
Public Safety Management & Leadership (undergraduate)
Criminal Justice Leadership (graduate certificate)
In addition, members of the Department of Public Safety can get credit toward a degree for completed police or fire academy coursework and advanced training.

Responsible for the management of the operations for the divisions of Fire, Police and Support Services, the City of Columbus Department of Public Safety provides nationally acclaimed safety services to the residents of Columbus. Shifts in demographics, culture, education, physical abilities, job skill requirements and other differences have shaped modern safety services.
