Columbus, OH (September 27, 2018)

Franklin University, a leader in educating working adults, is proud to announce the grand opening of its Center for Public Safety & Cybersecurity Education (the “Cyber Center”) on Friday, Oct. 5, 5:30-7 p.m. The opening will celebrate the Cyber Center's new dedicated location on main campus in Fisher Hall, 300 E. Main St., Columbus, Oh (43215).

The University launched the Center for Public Safety & Cybersecurity Education in March to address the growing number of cyber-related incidents through education and training, and to promote greater awareness of issues that impact individuals and communities.

Held in conjunction with the University’s Scholars Showcase, the grand opening event honors National Cybersecurity Awareness Month by featuring a demonstration of the Cyber Center’s new Cyber Range and its capabilities; experts in the criminal justice, public administration, cyber security and information systems; and highlights professional courses, events and networking opportunities available through the Cyber Center.

The cutting-edge Center includes innovative degree programs in both public safety and cybersecurity, industry partnership work, and seminar-style, non-credit offerings. Through its efforts, the Center will look at the future of cybersecurity and public safety education, as well help solve the talent shortage in public safety and cybersecurity.

Join us Oct. 5 to elevate your cybersecurity awareness, enjoy some light refreshments and enter to win prizes!
