Columbus, OH (January 18, 2022)

(Columbus, OH) – Since 1902, Franklin University has been a pioneer in meeting the needs of adult students who have the ambition to continue their college education in combination with other responsibilities. As part of this mission, the University provides access to degrees and has recently complemented its offerings with industry-recognized certifications and microcredentials that help students upskill, retrain, and earn the credentials that enable personal and professional growth.

In furtherance of advancing access to these industry-recognized certifications, Franklin University has launched the FranklinWORKS Marketplace https://www.franklin.edu/franklinworks-marketplace. This ever-expanding catalog of learning options of in-demand subject areas provides a one-stop-shop for Franklin University courses and certificates, as well as access to programs from other industry-leading education providers like Coursera, Stride, PathStream, and more.  Pathways and credit toward degree programs will be an added feature as new partners and certifications are identified.

The catalog of offerings of self-paced, short-term learning options provides learners with the opportunity to match their ability levels and career paths with specific courses, each taken on a self-determined schedule. With affordable payment models ranging from monthly subscriptions to low per class and per credit hour rates, the FrankinWORKS Marketplace makes it possible for learners to access high-quality learning options affordably and flexibly, all while providing visibility into how completed courses can build on one another or create an entry point to other in-demand skill areas that maximize learner marketability.

“Through the new FranklinWORKS Marketplace, Franklin University provides the opportunity to access topics and specializations that align with in-demand, marketable skills,” shared Dr. David Decker, president, Franklin University. “Aligning with our mission, this new offering provides affordable access to industry-recognized credentials that can be completed in short amounts of time with flexibility in attaining learning outcomes.”
