Columbus, OH (May 24, 2022)

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults in central Ohio, celebrated its 170th Commencement on Friday, May 20, 2022. Along with honoring the graduates, the University recognized Brandon Eugene Curry with the Alumni Social Impact Award.

Brandon is a driven public administrator with years of experience developing workforce strategies and managing community programs. As the director of workforce development & community engagement at Singleton Construction, Brandon leads Singleton’s community outreach initiatives and works diligently to find solutions for sustaining and retaining a viable workforce.

Brandon’s strong passion for service and volunteerism is evident in the various community projects and initiatives to which he’s dedicated his time over the past decade. However, he’s most proud of is his service as board chair for two amazing organizations, The Center for Disability Empowerment and ICE Mentors. Both organizations work tirelessly to combat social issues and improve the quality of life for marginalized populations of people.

Brandon’s capacity to positively influence people and projects remains one of his most unique traits, yet he remains committed to learning and growing from others.

Brandon lives in Pickerington, Ohio. He is a husband, father and the eldest of his four brothers. Brandon currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserve and holds a Master of Public Administration from Franklin and a bachelor’s degree from Wilberforce University.

About the Franklin University Alumni Awards

One of the three awards will be announced at each of the University's Commencement ceremonies, on a rotating basis. The Franklin University Alumni Advisory Council will consider nominations and applications and will make its recommendations to the University’s president for approval.
