How CCP Works

Get a Free Head Start on College

By choosing Franklin University CCP, students have several options to complete college-level coursework while still working toward their high school graduation requirements. Students can take courses on-site at Franklin, online at Franklin, or on-site at partner high schools. By choosing a pathway program, about 30-hours of transferable coursework focused around an in-demand career field, students get a jump-start on their associate or bachelor’s degree.

Talk With Your Guidance Counselor

Your guidance counselor can help you determine if you are ready to take on college-level work. CCP provides an opportunity for you to enrich your high school academic experience, get a preview of what learning at the college level will be like and explore topics that are related to your career interests.

Also, find out when your school’s CCP information session will be held - and make it a point to attend. All high schools must host an information session for families and students between Oct. 1 and Feb. 15.

Apply to Franklin University

The admission process varies slightly depending upon whether or not you are attending one of our partner high schools. However all students are assigned an admissions advisor to guide you through the process. Parents and students can also count on our knowledgeable CCP team to provide help whenever you need it. Application deadlines vary whether you are taking courses in your high school or online. Please check in with your guidance counselor for application deadline for courses in the high school. You can reach out to our office at ccplus@franklin.edu for deadlines for online courses.

Take ACT/SAT or Accuplacer

To be eligible to take CCP courses, you must meet the application requirements. You’ll be required to submit official documentation that you've met the test score requirements.

If ACT/SAT scores are not available, then you may take Accuplacer placement tests in lieu of the ACT or SAT.

In response to COVID-19, some testing requirements may have changed. Please contact our office at ccplus@franklin.edu for the most up to date requirements.
