Being Mindful

Time is funny - sometimes an hour in a study hall feels like a full day, where an hour at a party can feel like minutes. If you feel so busy that you're worried life is passing you by, you might consider the practice of mindfulness - or being present in the moment.

If you fill every moment of your life with doing things - studying, texting with friends, spending time online, running errands - you may never give yourself a chance to simply be. Take a moment to clear your mind and notice what you can see, smell, hear, taste and feel. Sitting like this while being quiet and aware isn’t just pleasant. It is important for your happiness and mental health.
