Constitution Day is September 17th!

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Those words are known as the Preamble to the United States Constitution. A document that was signed on September 17, 1787, by our founding fathers that established our nation's fundamental laws and guaranteed our rights.

Each year on the anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution is known as Constitution Day or Citizenship Day. This is an important part of the cultural heritage of the United States of America because it recognizes the success of a nation of free people whose rights and liberties are protected. At Franklin University, we proudly celebrate and also encourage our students, staff, and faculty to learn more about the United States Constitution and reflect on the development of our country. We have provided links that are not just educational but enjoyable for all ages to celebrate at home.
