Financial Aid Student Eligibility and Compliance Coordinator

Franklin University has a position available for a full-time Financial Aid Student Eligibility and Compliance Coordinator.  This position manages and compliances verification processing and student eligibility issues. The Coordinator is responsible for several functions for new-year setup and supervises the ISIR upload process throughout the year. This position maintains regulatory provisions as related to verification and the ISIR import process. This position also supervises Financial Aid’s Federal Work Study students. This includes training and managing underlying document processes needed for the office to operate effectively.  This also involves initiating changes, collaborating with colleagues on options, and implementing the documents needed to support miscellaneous financial aid processes and work flow. As a proactive team member, this individual will support continuous improvement and build strong internal and external relationships.  The position will include minimal travel and occasional evening hours to support Orientation sessions, Student Financial Aid Nights and to cover for vacations at both our Franklin main campus as well as our branch campus at Urbana University.

We seek someone with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior experience in financial aid.  The selected individual must have thorough working knowledge of federal and state financial aid and demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.  In addition, the position requires someone with an outstanding work ethic who is detail-oriented and has expert skills in Ellucian Colleague.  He/she must be tech savvy and have strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.  Experience with the imaging function within OnBase and previous PowerFAIDS experience would be pluses in this position.  Prior supervisory experience would also be a plus in this position.  Finally, we seek someone who has proven relationship building and/or customer service skills who can work with various departments and a diverse population.
