Columbus, OH —

Franklin University is proud to announce the signing of a formal partnership with Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) in Puebla, Mexico.  Through this signing, Franklin University shares its expertise in online, global learning to help respond to the area’s workforce training needs.

Signed by BUAP Chancellor Alfonso Esparza Ortiz and Franklin University President David Decker, the agreement provides Franklin University with the opportunity to help establish and grow online professional programs, to Spanish-speaking students at BUAP.  Current graduate student enrollment in this Mexican institution represents only 2% of the more than 80,000 of its current students.  Franklin’s Global MBA program will be the leading of several international cooperation programs online between both universities, offering participants the possibility of obtaining a dual diploma in Mexico and the USA after concluding their studies.
Employing Franklin University’s curriculum development and delivery expertise, BUAP students will have access to the BlueQuill learning platform. The advanced platform helps expand learning possibilities by pairing innovative technology with the skills needed to succeed in today’s global economy. The first cohort of students is expected to start in fall 2017.

“Since 1902, Franklin University has been dedicated to the development and use of innovative technology and advanced methods to meet the educational needs of society,” said Dr. David Decker, President, Franklin University. "While we continue to evolve our offerings, we have stayed true to our fundamental mission to help contribute to social and economic development."

Today’s announcement further solidifies the role Franklin University's academic programs play in redefining the term "global" in reference to educational access, academic quality, and global sustainability. Through collaborating agreements such as the agreement with BUAP, Franklin University services the educational needs of international students around the world.
