Franklin University and Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) Sign Education Agreement

Franklin University is proud to announce the formal signing of a global educational partnership with Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Franklin University President, Dr. David Decker, and UAG Academic Vice-President, Dr. Fernando Mata Carrasco, signed the agreement this week, officially marking the new partnership as well as the opportunity to extend educational offerings beyond geographic borders.

In addition to Dr. Decker and Dr. Mata Carrasco, the signing was attended by Dr. Luis Galarza Pérez, Executive Director of Market Development, Franklin University; UAG Secretary General, Dr. Ricardo Beltrán Rojas; and the Director of Internationalization, Dr. Noé Chirino Hernández.

Through the agreement, students at UAG will be able to participate in education exchange programs at both Franklin and Urbana universities.  With the underlying idea of expanding career opportunities locally and on the global stage, UAG and Franklin will seek to offer a dual degree graduate programs and advanced undergraduate certifications online.  In addition, the two institutions now have the opportunity to create various joint activities, such as student mobility, teaching a second language, online education, dual degree programs, research and joint publications, among others.

Today’s announcement further solidifies the role Franklin University's academic programs play in redefining the term "global" in reference to educational access, academic quality, and global sustainability.
