Description:
Global Finance is an examination of financial management in the global economy. Topics include international financial markets, exchange rates, interest rates and inflation, exchange rate risk management, working capital management, capital budgeting, country risk analysis, long-term financing, and global strategic planning.

Outcomes:

  • Discuss the range of complex issues that face decision makers in the global financial arena
  • Apply the tools and techniques that are used in the day-to-day financial decisions of a multinational corporation
  • Examine the threats, risks, and opportunities inherent to multinational firms
  • Demonstrate the application of arbitrage and purchasing power parity as it pertains to the foreign exchange markets
  • Apply techniques to measure and hedge a multinational operation's exposure to currency risk
  • Explain the role of treasury management in the overall operations of a multinational corporation
  • Explain how to develop a strategy to mitigate the effects of a multinational corporation's foreign income tax
