HCM320 - Financial Management I

Description:
This course will provide students with a foundation in financial and managerial accounting. Students will explore concepts to enhance their financial knowledge, technical skills, and their ability to apply such skills in a working environment. Presented in this course are principles for making sound financial decisions and assessing healthcare organization’s financial performance.

Outcomes:

  • Apply financial management concepts to common scenarios
  • Examine financial and managerial accounting principles.
  • Determine appropriate financial strategies for improving health outcomes and healthcare organizational performance.
  • Explore financial data and procedures to make inform decisions.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, management, and communications skills for resolving financial healthcare matters.
