Description:
This course covers the broad spectrum of strategic issues in healthcare including policies, guidelines, standards, processes, and controls required to manage and implement enterprise-level information. Treating information as a strategic asset to healthcare organizations, processes to manage various risks to the quality of information and ensure its appropriate use are covered.

Outcomes:

  • Examine the strategic value of enterprise information in a healthcare setting
  • Develop policies and procedures that promote enterprise-wide creation, dissemination and use of quality information
  • Recommend appropriate controls to guard against risks to healthcare information
  • Implement strategic level policies, processes and controls for healthcare information and decision making
