Credit for a Certificate, Credential or Licensure
Franklin University recognizes that learning happens outside of a college classroom.
Franklin University:
- Adheres to the Ohio Department of Higher Education Career-Technical Credit Transfer guarantees
- Utilizes credit recommendation services from the American Council on Education (ACE) and National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS)
- Evaluates experiences from institutions and organizations accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- All credit decisions are approved by Franklin University faculty as esteemed experts in their field
For Evaluation
Prior Learning Credit is available primarily at the undergraduate level and focuses on credit for professional training and certifications. Some credit is available at the Master's level but is limited based on residency and degree requirements. Prior learning credit is not available at the Doctoral level.
Franklin University does not award credit for work experience and cannot grant credit using your resume and/or via Credly transcript (documentation from the originating credit-granting organization is required).

To receive credit for any of those listed below you must submit evidence of successful completion and submit the required document(s). If you do not see a certificate or training listed below, additional information may be required for faculty review.
