Blom established a new health-system governance model, uniting several boards of directors into one corporate board.

Blom’s career with OhioHealth spans more than 30 years and includes many leadership positions including hospital president at three different facilities, vice president, system vice president, executive vice president, and chief operating officer. His achievements have garnered recognitions such as CEO of the Year by Columbus CEO magazine, Businessperson of the Year by Columbus Business First, and Smart Leader by Smart Business magazine. In 2011, he was honored by his peers and chosen CEO of the Year (Large Nonprofit category) in a list compiled and published in Columbus CEO magazine.

Blom is active on professional boards such as the Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA), a network of 1,400 nonprofit hospitals that work together to improve clinical and economic performance, and Provista, a for-profit, growth-oriented subsidiary of VHA. He also serves on a number of local boards including the Columbus Partnership, the Columbus Downtown Development Commission, and the Columbus Foundation

Receiving his Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree, John Pilutti will also address the graduates.  Pilutti currently serves as a Product Specialist for Aprima Medical Software. For the last 11 years he has been involved with electronic health record software, supporting a sales force of 20 to assure the efficiency and quality of electronic health records implementation. Pilutti plans to use the knowledge he acquired in the MHA program to open doors into other areas of the medical profession.

A central Ohio native, Pilutti was involved in many community activities before returning to college. John earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in 2012. John is grateful to his wife and four children for their support in his educational journey
