Profile

Dr. Michelle Morgan is the Director of Clinical Education for the School of Nursing and the Program Chair of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Program at Franklin University. Dr. Morgan has been a nurse for over 30 years and an Adult Nurse Practitioner for over 25 years. Dr. Morgan was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Arizona State University and mentored multiple students with their scholarly project. Dr. Morgan was Co-Specialty Coordinator of the AGPCNP DNP Program for several years. Dr. Morgan was a voting member of an Institutional Review Board at a five-center healthcare organization and an active member of the Nursing Research Committee working with nurses on evidence-based quality improvement projects. As the Nurse Practitioner Clinical Liaison for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Graduate Nurse Education Demonstration Project, she had the opportunity to collaborate with four universities through academic-practice partnerships creating innovative clinical training modules for nurse practitioner students and continuing education for clinical preceptors. Dr. Morgan obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a concentration in Educational Leadership through Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her clinical practice is in gastroenterology and hepatology, and her research interests are in working with minority populations to decrease health disparities.
