Franklin University has launched a new Project Management Specialization within its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, expanding opportunities for working adult students seeking career-focused project leadership skills aligned with today’s workforce needs.

The fully online B.S. Business Administration–Project Management Specialization is designed to help students build practical project management, operations, analytics and leadership capabilities while developing a strong foundation in business strategy and organizational performance. The program also helps students satisfy a portion of the educational requirements associated with the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification process through coursework aligned with the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK® Guide.

The specialization was developed to address growing employer demand for professionals who can connect organizational strategy, operations and execution while successfully managing projects, teams and business outcomes. The curriculum combines project planning, scheduling, operations management and team leadership with coursework focused on AI in business, forecasting, process improvement, analytics and ethical decision-making.

Students will learn to create project plans, develop work breakdown structures, manage risks, analyze business performance and support organizational goals using practical, career-relevant tools and strategies.

Designed specifically for busy working adults, the program is delivered 100% online and taught by experienced business practitioners who bring real-world expertise into the classroom. Students may transfer up to 94 previously earned college credits, helping accelerate degree completion and reduce overall educational costs.

According to the Project Management Institute, project-oriented roles are expected to continue growing significantly across industries including healthcare, technology, manufacturing, finance, logistics and consulting as organizations increasingly rely on professionals who can manage complex initiatives and cross-functional teams.

Graduates of the specialization may pursue career paths including project coordinator, operations analyst, business analyst and project manager roles. The curriculum also emphasizes communication, leadership, process improvement and data-informed decision-making skills designed to support long-term career mobility and advancement.
