The Secure Information Systems focus builds on 10 major area courses that are required regardless of what focus you choose within the Information Systems major. In these courses, you’ll gain knowledge and skills that span computing, security, analytics and business, as well as the ability to apply information systems technology principles to drive business strategy, translate business needs into executable projects, and evaluate current and emerging technologies.
A balance of theory and hands-on practice will provide you with working knowledge of industry-standard tools, problem-solving using algorithms, essential cybersecurity concepts, and technical knowledge related to information systems architecture.
