b'MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT How can universities like Franklin adapt to changes in society and in the professions without chasing the latest fads and going straight down a rabbit hole? Its hard to see the North Star from the bottom of a rabbit hole! So, we keep our eye on our own North Starstudent successas we grapple with the big changes occurring all around us.We start by listeningto employers, to students, to alumni, to professional organizations. We want to learn whats rising, whats emerging, how the world is changing and what that means to our job of preparing students to succeed. We then apply our own experience and knowledge, gained over 120 years of continuous success in educating professionals, to what we have learned about the shifting needs of the professions, while always preserving the unchanging essentialscritical thinking, logical reasoning, communication skills, nimbleness with numbers. We rigorously adapt our programs and devise new offerings and new approaches to teaching. The theme of this years Clocktower is Innovating Tradition. It means two things: We have a tradition of innovating, but at the same time, this innovation strengthens our tradition of professionalism and student success. Since 1902, Franklin has focused on equipping learners with the skills needed to thrive in the workplace. Today, we intentionally align our academic programs with the expectations of a rapidly changing job market. At the same time, by embedding critical workforce skills directly into courses and by providing extra credentials that students earn along the way to their degree, we make certain that every Franklin graduate is both academically and professionally prepared. Our Tuition Guarantee safeguards affordability, giving students financial predictability. Flexible online programs, streamlined transfer options and free academic support resources ensure that all students have an avenue to achieve their goals. Innovation and tradition go hand in hand to Make It Possible at Franklin!Best regards,Dr. David R.
