About The Library

Welcome to the Franklin University Library

An extension of the University's mission, the Franklin University Library is committed to providing services and resources to empower students, staff, faculty, and the community, by way of quality research collections, outstanding services, and excellent user education, enabling them to become independent lifelong learners. The library manages and provides seamless access to print and online scholarly information, offers research coaching and info literacy instruction, provides state-of-the art facility and equipment, and advocates on behalf of students to maintain a pleasant physical space for learning and scholarly activities.

In August  2016, the entities known separately as the Franklin University Nationwide Library and the Student Learning Center (SLC) merged. The merger into one space in Phillips Hall, created the Learning Commons, a dynamic space to house student-centered resources in research, writing, tutoring, and testing.
