b'ALUMNI GREETING OUT OFADVERSITYThe Office of Community Relations staff:COMES Sherry Mercurio (MCM 05) and Aaron Cassady (B.S. Business Administration 14) OPPORTUNITY. Benjamin FranklinOver the course of the past year, we were inspired by so many of our Franklin alumni who reached back and pulled others forward during these difficult times. Our alumni have always been the Universitys greatest source of pride and this was even more evident over the past year. We witnessed our alumni, many of whom are frontline workers, sacrifice their own safety to ensure the care of others. We watched our alumni, who are community leaders and business owners, give back to their communities, at a time when their personal financial futures were also uncertain. We felt the compassion from our alumni and friends, who recalling their own challenges, lifted our current students over hurdles with contributions of scholarship dollars and other resources. In this issue of Clocktower, well shine a light on some of the important work that was accomplished under the unique circumstances presented by the pandemic response. This work included creating and providing opportunities to keep you moving forward professionally and keeping you engaged. We will also share a few stories of alumni who exemplify how opportunities can be found in adverse situations. We hope you continue to stay connected to Franklin through our monthly e-newsletters, podcasts and events. We are proud of our community of more than 50,000 alumni across the globe and we look forward to hearing from you!
