reflects not only the many paths our learners take, 
but also the University’s presence in communities 
across the state, the country and the globe, 
meeting people where they are.
Whether supporting seamless transitions through the 
Pathway Portal or creating cost-saving opportunities 
for working adults through U-LEARN and Earn 
+ Learn, Franklin strengthens workforce readiness, 
expands access, and supports learners as their goals 
evolve. By pairing strong academic foundations with 
bold, workforce-aligned innovation, Franklin delivers 
a relevant, high-quality education that empowers 
learners to move forward with confidence. 
In this edition of Clocktower, you’ll see how that 
confidence manifests in the work our alumni do. 
From David Hoy (B.S. Computer Management ’86), 
whose work at GradLeaders connected students 
to career opportunities, to Stacy McGranor (M.S. 
in Business Psychology ’19 + MBA ’05), whose 
master’s program enabled her to chart new territory 
in professional sports, to Dr. Jennifer Lame (Ed.D. 
in Organizational Leadership ’26), whose research 
confirmed the ways transformational leadership 
in higher education creates a culture that fosters 
student success.
These spotlights demonstrate how Franklin 
is committed to making each journey possible, 
personal and grounded in the collective strength
