WHITE COAT CEREMONIES
COMMEMORATE MILESTONES
For students in advanced practice nursing tracks,
the White Coat Ceremony marks an important
transition between coursework and clinical rotation.
Traditionally, receiving one’s white coat
is a moment of pride that underscores compassion,
professionalism, and ethical conduct for all
who wear it. Whether participants are in Ohio
or thousands of miles away, the ceremony, which
is held virtually twice each year, reminds students
that they are advancing their credentials in work
that is rooted in service. They are also carrying
on Franklin’s legacy of preparing leaders who are
ready to meet the needs of their communities.
HELP MARK THE ACHIEVEMENTS
OF FRANKLIN’S ASPIRING APRNs
Franklin’s nursing programs demonstrate the
University’s continued commitment to meeting
workforce needs with practical, high-quality, student-
centered education. It is a model that underscores
the value of a Franklin degree and reinforces
the pride alumni share in being part of a university
that responds boldly to the needs of society.
The White Coat Support Fund helps ensure
every nursing student can fully participate
in this important professional milestone.
Alumni and friends who support the fund extend
the same encouragement and care that once
supported their own journeys, creating a generous
and welcoming tradition that celebrates
what it means to join the nursing profession.

The White Coat Ceremony was the icing on
the cake. It was the weight of responsibility,
