Franklin University Announces its Online Master’s in Nursing Education and Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate

Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults, is pleased to announce the addition of its new master’s in Nursing-Nursing-Educator track and Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate as its latest School of Nursing (SON) offerings. Today’s announcement adds to the University’s existing BSN and MSN practitioner programs, revamped MBA-Healthcare program, and online DNP – Doctor of Nursing Practice tracks.

Students in Franklin’s online nursing programs learn from real-world practitioners who are helping to shape an ever-evolving profession. The following online nursing program and certification are designed for nursing advancement and to expose students to in-field best practices and evidence-based, and instructional methods. 

Master of Science in Nursing Education
Franklin’s new online Nurse Educator program provides a strong foundation in clinical judgment, leadership, and advocacy to prepare its students for elevated roles and responsibilities in the increasingly in-demand field of nursing education. Taking its program to the next level, the University’s School of Nursing and the International Institute for Innovative Instruction have collaborated to provide the MSN-Nurse Educator program with comprehensive advanced nursing theory and practice with industry-leading instruction design strategies and techniques.

Designed for busy working adults, Franklin’s convenient online courses are equipped to build on learners’ competencies as compassionate nurse educators to contribute to the nursing profession while delivering high-quality patient care. 

The MSN-Nurse Educator program features hands-on clinical experience with an 80-hour practicum, providing an opportunity to focus on a specific population of interest or a particular clinical role. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse educator, students will have the opportunity to engage in educational activities that unite pedagogy, instructional design, curriculum development, and assessment of learner outcomes. Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate 
The Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate from Franklin provides learners with the knowledge of instructional methods and design needed to train a cadre of new nurses. Those entering Franklin’s new certificate program will be acquainted with theories and philosophies that formed and influenced the field of instructional design, as well as instruction systems, theories, models and systematic approaches. Learners will have the opportunity to customize their certificates to specific learning goals and career interests. 
Franklin’s Nurse Educator Graduate Certificate aims to blend nursing practice with instructional methods, providing an 80-hour practicum. Under the supervision of an experienced nurse educator, students will integrate nursing expertise with current and emerging instructional methods and technologies.
