Columbus, OH (March 9, 2023)

Franklin University is proud to announce that it has earned the 2023-2024 Military Friendly® School and Gold Designation within the Graduate School category designation by Viqtory Inc., the longest-running review of the colleges and universities that are investing in service to military-affiliated students. This back-to-back Gold level designation marks a continued recognition of Franklin University’s commitment to those who served and further validation of its 14th year being recognized as a Military Friendly® School.

Adding distinction to this year’s designation, only 250 of the more than 1,800 schools that completed the 2023-24 survey were awarded a Gold level distinction for their leading practices, outcomes, and effective programs. Gold award winners have programs that scored within 10% of the 10th-ranked organization. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. As an accredited institution and one of the leading educators of working adults, Franklin University proudly serves nearly 750 military and veteran students and their families.

“I chose Franklin University for my doctoral program, over other academic institutions, because of its dedicated support to professionals continuing their education,” shared Jillian Morales, Franklin University’s Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) student. “As a full-time working professional, US Army Veteran, wife, mother, and a DHA student, it was important to me to have a program that not only supported my academic goals within the healthcare profession but would also support me personally through my doctoral journey and all that it would entail. As a military family, we relocate quite a bit, and having both an academic advisor and a faculty advisor has been paramount to my continued success as a doctoral student. I would be amiss if I failed to mention the military-friendly tuition discounts, as this has also helped to make my dream a reality. The support and personalized attention I have received from Franklin University affirm that I made the right choice in pursuing my doctorate with Franklin.”

The University‘s adult-focused services, in-demand programs, and free support resources deliver a learning experience built to serve military and veteran students through:
•    Priority registration
•    Graduation cord designation
•    Centralized advising
•    VA benefit support
•    Military and veteran-specific scholarships
•    Military student lounge
•    Special undergraduate tuition of $250 per credit hour
•    Reduced military master’s degree rate of $536 per credit hour

As a Military Friendly® School, Franklin University helps set the standard of personal, dedicated support to military and veteran students, providing a clear pathway from earning a degree to successful career attainment.

About Military Friendly® Schools
The Military Friendly® Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources from more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions. The survey questions, methodology, criteria and weighting were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and an advisory council of educators and employers. The survey is administered for free and is open to all postsecondary schools that wish to participate. Criteria for consideration can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
