Franklin University’s Robert Donahue Appointed President of Association of College & University Printers (ACUP+)

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults in central Ohio, is proud to announce the appointment of Robert Donahue to the position of President for Association of College & University Printers. In that three-year role, Donahue will lead efforts to strengthen education of in-plant print and mail operations by promoting and supporting learning opportunities, shared knowledge, and collaboration.

Robert Donahue – known to friends and colleagues as Bob – has served as the director of Purchasing, Mailing and Printing Solutions at Franklin University for the past 13 years. In his role, Donahue is responsible for the establishment and growth of the University’s in-plant print facility. Prior to Franklin, Donahue’s experience includes Master Sergeant, US Army (retired); Purchasing Agent/Senior Purchasing Agent, Ashland Chemical Company; Senior Purchasing Agent/Contract Closeout Analyst, The Boeing Company.

Donahue has served on the board of directors of the Association of College & University Printers for the past four years in the capacity of treasurer (3 years) and currently as president. He’s also a proud member of the following organizations: the Institute for Supply Management, the National Association of Education Procurement, Next Level Procurement Association, College and University Mail Services Association, Mid-Atlantic Regional College & University Mail Services Association, National Association of College & University Mail Services and In-plant Print and Mail Association. To add to his credentials, Donahue is a Certified Purchasing Professional and Certified Professional Purchasing Manager, backed by the American Purchasing Society.

Established in 1964, to promote communication, training and education opportunities within the Higher Education in-plant printing and mailing industry.
