Franklin University Board of Trustees Elects Valerie Pitteroff as its Newest Member

Franklin University, one of the leading educators of working adults, is pleased to announce the election of Valerie Pitteroff, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources at Cardinal Health, to its Board of Trustees. The Trusteeship Governance Committee recommended Pitteroff during its April meeting.

As Senior Vice-President, Human Resources at Cardinal Health, Valerie has responsibility for the company’s international Medical Segment.  She joined Cardinal Health in October 2002 and has held both HR Business Partner and Talent Management Center of Excellence roles supporting all facets of the Cardinal Health business.

Before joining Cardinal Health, Valerie was a United States Peace Corps member, serving in Paraguay, South America.  Her volunteer service focused on working with educators and farmers to establish a rural community cooperative and developing educational programs for women and students.  

“Helping others achieve their goals is a passion of mine and I am thankful to be given this position of trust and the opportunity to serve Franklin University and the students it serves,” shared Valerie.

She is originally from Southern California and is a graduate of the University of California at Riverside.  She now resides in Hilliard, Ohio, with her husband Jason, children Ethan and Sofia, and rescue dog Cooper.  The Pitteroff family enjoys game nights, movies, and traveling together.
