HCM340 - Community Health

Description:
This course will provide a comprehensive community health foundation. Students will gain an appreciation for community health and the implications for at-risks populations. Course topics include community health practices and strategies, communicable and environmental disease prevention, and population and mental health.

Outcomes:

  • Analyze objective detail, concepts, and procedures related to community health theories and practices.
  • Demonstrate an ability to apply management skills necessary for community health decision-making and problem solving.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of community health methods
  • Evaluate and develop solutions to address societal, cultural, and environmental community health issues.
