MGMT325 - Organizational Behavior

Description:
This course focuses on the organizational processes and theoretical constructs related to organizational behavior. The roles of leaders, followers, and teams, and their influence on the culture and performance of an organization are addressed through the analysis of key organizational behavior concepts and related cases. Topics will include: values, perception, attitudes, assumptions, learning, motivation, conflict, diversity, and change.

Outcomes:

  • Discuss the theoretical influences on the field of organizational behavior
  • Analyze individual behavior and explain how it contributes to employee and organizational success
  • List the major factors influencing individual and group performance in an organization
  • Analyze the elements which contribute to developing and sustaining high performance work teams
  • Summarize the role of culture and diversity in organizational dynamics
  • Evaluate the leadership role in organizational change
  • Analyze an organization's strengths, challenges, and areas for improving organizational behavior and performance. Report the analysis in writing using the vocabulary of organizational behavior
