Profile

Dr. Kristin Burke Martin, is the Program Chair of the MBA Program and Lead Faculty of Financial Management at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. In 2021, Dr. Martin received the award for being one of the Top 100 Visionaries in Education from the Global Forum for Education and Learning (GFEL) for her contributions to higher education. Dr. Martin was elected Vice President for the Great Lakes Region of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) in October 2021. Previously, she was the MBA Director at Columbia College in South Carolina, where she designed an online MBA program and taught MBA and Finance courses. In July 2019, Dr. Martin had the privilege to teach Multinational Corporate Finance abroad in Hanoi, Vietnam, at Vietnam National University (VNU). Over the last five years, she taught online graduate finance and international business courses at Park University and undergraduate finance courses at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) as an adjunct professor. Dr. Martin held various positions within the Financial Industry for 30 years, including ten years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Dr. Martin holds a Doctorate in International Business from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Averett University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
